Sanatana Dharma
Sanatana Dharma, is synonymous with, and inseparable from Hinduism. It is the right way of leading one’s life in conformity with time-tested and eternal set of duties - honesty, self-restraint, mutual co-existence, respect to mother nature (five elements), and practicing of other virtues - incumbent upon individuals as ordained by the scriptures, propagated by Rishis, Gurus, Acharyas and proclaimed by God Himself on many an occasion, as for example, Lord Shri Krishna’s divine discourse of Bhagavad Gita. Svadharma should not be mistaken as Sanatana Dharma.
Sanatana Dharma propounds and guides the direction to and purpose of life. It is the only way to self-control, self-satisfaction and self-realisation leading to eternal bliss, Nirvana.
Vedas, Upanishads, Epics, teachings of Gurus and Rishis, God’s own discourse like Bhagavad Gita, all abound about Sanatana Dharma, but the ground reality is that mundane mortals are defiant to recognize the values, and those who tend to recognize find it impossible to practice and apply Sanatana Dharma in their day to day lives.
Only an erudite Guru or enlightened Guide can steer one to understand, assimilate, imbibe, practice and propagate Sanatana Dharma, the ultimate to a well-lived-life. This is where Vedic Counselling and Rituals steps in.
